Loss making Birthdays stores are in administration as Clintons look to make cost cuts.
Birthdays is currently losing £7000 000 per year and Clintons have decided they can no long sustain the losses especially during the recession.
Clintons has owned Birthdays since 2004 and it is yet to make profit.
The move puts over 2000 jobs at risk of redundancy.
