More bad news from the UK job market with BAE Systems announcing 500 job losses spread between Newcastle, Barrow, Leeds, Telford and Guildford.

The factories at Leeds, Telford and Guildford will actually close.

The company blames a downturn in orders following the government postponing an order for 2000 armoured vehicle's in November.

Approximately 100 jobs from the closing sites will be relocated.
