Inusurance giant Aviva, the company that owns Norwich union has announce massive job losses. 1100 employees and 590 contract workers are to be axed during Spring / Summer 2009.
The company is saying it hopes to minimise compulsory redundancies and reduce numbers through natural wastage.
The job cuts are all part of an efficiency drive admist a huge £885m loss in 2008.
