GCap Media, owned by Global Radio but required to operate separately, announced on 9th July less than 100 jobs were to go as the firm reacted to the credit crunch. On 22nd July the redundancy toll had risen to around 160 jobs including Choice FM's controller.

GCap Media own Classic FM, One Network, Capital 95.8, XFM, Choice FM and Gold.
