Huge job losses at BARCLAYS - Free advice for employees

Barclays are to relocate 1,800 UK IT jobs abroad in order to become a global company able to meet the needs of customers around the world. The number of redundancies is uncertain and there will be positions available for those willing to relocate but 700 workers will have left by September.

Barclays have announced that they are to cut another massive 2100 jobs.

The latest round of redundancies will be in it's wealth management & investment banking business.

The union UNITE says that 500 of the cuts would be in the UK.

The company is cutting headcount to better align itself to postition itself more strongly in the current market conditions.
