Pringle of Scotland are proposing 80 job loses in the Borders if they are to stop manufacturing in Hawick. The Borders based company have seen increase in competition from Italy with 30% lower manufacturing costs than in Scotland and the market changing to finer knits than Hawick is currently producing.
