JJB owned OSC and Qube chains are to be closed by the administrators with the loss of 438 jobs. Both companies have been losing money for some time as the recession gets worse and the administrators couldn't find a way of saving the stores.


LDV's Russian parent company GAZ is supporting plans for a management buyout which would require the UK Government to supply bridging loans to secure the company's short term future.

LDV currently employs 900 people in Birmingham and haven't produced a van since December.
