High street giant Land of Leather has gone into administration. The company has cut costs and sought a buyer but neither move has been enough to save the company from administration.

Deloitte has been named as administrators for the kent based firm.

Demand for couches and other furnishings Land of Leather sold has slumped along with the economy.

The administrators are putting a system in place to compensate customers who have placed deposits, or to honor the transaction.
