It has been announced that JCB are to make another 684 redundancies across the UK. Employees in Rocester, Rugeley, Uttoxeter, Cheadle, North Wales and Derbyshire would all be affected.

The company blames the credit crunch for the lack of credit being given to it's customers.

It is thought that the job losses will be made up of 91 staff positions and 593 shop floor workers. The move comes despite the workers voting for a shorter 34 hour working week only last October and 1000 redundancies in 2008.

How have the company handled this situation?
