Up to 100 RAF trainees are expected to lose their jobs on Tuesday. Many are close to gaining their wings, some just weeks away. Many millions of pounds have been spent training them to this point.
Following last year's defence spending review there will be many less planes than previously expected. 5000 RAF personel are expected to lose their jobs in the next 4 years.
The government claims front-line support will not be affected.
