Zavvi, the highstreet music chain has been placed into administration putting another 3400 jobs in jeopardy.
The company, closely tied to the now closing woolworths had been forced to stop taking orders via it's website.
Ernst & Young has been nominated Administrator and the company employs 2362 permanent and 1052 temporary staff. E&Y are looking for a purchaser of the company.
Customers who hold Zavvi gift vouchers WILL NOT be able to use them during the closing down period. It is likely they will have to make an unbsecured claim to the administrators for monies to be returned, which is often paid at a % of the pound.
3400 jobs could go at ZAVVI
