Nissan Management sent staff home on full pay on Tuesday to cut production of two models of it's cars. The economic conditions has meant tough trading for motor traders around the world.
All 3500 staff are expected to return to work as normal after the Christmas shutdown in January.
All car manufacturers are calling for help from the government.
