The administrators Ernst & Young have moved into the offices of the Manchester based bank London Scottish.
It was announced in February that the company would stop lending to businesses to concentrate on debt collection.
The Treasury has already announced that all retail deposits WOULD be protected, even those over the normal £50 000.
It is thought that a buyer is being sought for the group. In the meantime employees face an uncertain future.
