Default Can we claim back Tax if so how?

This a question that will affect a lot of people who have been job hunting since being made redundant....

I recieved a letter today from the Inland Revenue, with my tax code for whilst I was out of work and claiming JSA

In the letter they stated what my allowances are and also that the allowance is divided throughout the year. Does this mean that I will be able to claim back some of the tax for this tax year? So far I have been out of work for 3 months and recieved 1 months redundancy pay which I was taxed on.

I would like to know if I can claim some tax back and if so when and how?

    Many thanks!

I was under the impression that redundancy payments were usually tax free?

If I was you, I would speak with HMRC and take their advice.

I also can do one thing that collect unity of such guys via social network and take first advice from them. It is necessary to have a positive advise or if not then how to make it positive.

    a) Why are you reviving a 2.5 year old thread?
    b) Sorry but your posts are incomprehensible. I'm sorry because English is clearly not your first language - are you using an automatic translator? If you are it doesn't work!

Yes - odd for someone who claims to be in HR adnin that they cannot manage a single post that makes any sense. Seems to confirm we may have a troll.

    Admin - this bears watching!

I've been watching. They're not based in the UK but advertising a UK site. They're not selling it very well though if this is what these posts are trying to do.
