I work for a huge supermarket who are making redundancies at our distribution centre. I am in the union BUT i have been told by my employer that under the recognition agreement that is in place between my union and employer I am unable to have my union represent me because my employer has said that I am CAP GRADED and my Terms and conditions and pay cannot be negotiated by the union during this process but the union can represent me for proceedures and processes. Is redundancy and consultation belong to T.C's and Pay or does it come under processes and proceedures.....please can anybody help me...
