Out of 4 drivers one of us had to be made redudant (Me) as it turned out it was based on a points criteria.
The criteria was Sick, Timekeeping, attitude, Ability Productivity.
I was told my problem was Initiative, now the rest of the criteria was fine in fact I,ve never had a day's sick in nearly 3 years.
I have never been made aware of my Initiative problem and never discusssed at a appraisal simply because I,ve never had an appraisal I,ve never had a verbal warning or written warning in other words I never knew I had an Initiative problem untill today.
Any advise please I feel I,ve been stiched up

Redudancy Points Criteria

Hi Manti
The selection criteria should be reasonably objective. Questions to ask would be how has employer has scored 'initiative'? How did they measure this?
Criteria like sickness and attendance, timekeeping and productivity would be objective criteria. Initiative and attitude would be less objective unless there were evidence to support this e.g. appraisals, disciplinary records
A dismissal may unfair dismissal if the selection criteria is too subjective. If you were to make a claim to an Employment Tribunal you should appeal the decision first. You would be required to demonstrate that the selection criteria was too subjective - also look into your full selection score and see how much weight was given to the objective criteria for selection versus the subjective criteria.Clara Buckingham
