Further to my post of 19-05-09

My employer has now told me that he has been advised that he has upto six months to pay my the balance of my redundancy pay. Is this correct? If so, am I entitled to claim the lost bank interest from him? I know that this wouldn't amount to alot, just a matter of principal.
