Consultancy process question Should a company inform the clients managed by an employee that they are currently going through a redundancy consultancy process with that individual or would this be unfair on the employee given that the aim of the process is to seek ways to avoid redundancy?

Hi Harold
I suggest you do not tell clients until the final decision has been made. As you have pointed out, it may be that redundancies are avoided or mitigated through consultation, which could leave you looking less than professional in the eyes of your clients. You also need to consider the confidentiality and sensitivity of the process.
Regards
Pete
