Hi All

On the 6th March 2009 I got made redundant from my position within the department as a Sales Manager for an engineering firm. My colleague Sales Coordinator Manager also got laid off. Within the same department there was a National Account Manager that carried out the same duties as me, but more nationwide and a Sales Administrator who carried out roughly the same tasks as the Sales Coordinator Manager. The two of us that got made redundant received no redundacy package as we had worked for the company for just under two years. The National Account Manager has worked there for 4 years and stil does to this day.

My girlfriend currently works at the company and has informed me that the company has recently employed a new member of staff into the department as an office junior which is undertaking slaes coordinator duties and they have now promoted the Sales Coordinator into what was my position but for less money, his title as far as I am aware hasn't been changed at present.

I'm feeling pretty stitched up and like they have walked over me and force myself (and my coleague) out for lower paid members.

Myself and my colleague did not get offered any other positions in the company and also did'nt get asked if we would take a pay cut etc. We were pulled into an office one by one and tyold we were being made redundant as of that day and we would get paid our 4 weeks notice.

Where do I stand on this matter?
