I am being made redundant at the end of this month, however my employer has asked me if I would like to take up a similar role for a few months. However I need to receive my redundancy payment by mid-may as I have arranged for home improvements to be done and need to pay for them at this date. I am therefore not keen to extend my notice period. I have suggested to the company that I would be happy to do the role for them through an employment agency - is there any reason this cannot go ahead
