Hello, I am hoping that you can give me some advice.
I have recently taken 'voluntary severence' from my previous employer. My last working date was 16th March. I took voluntary severence as my position was being ' disestablished' and that the new proposed hours were to be far less then I was working because of restructuring and cost saving. I have now seen an advert for the new post and it is only 2 hours a week less then the hours I had been working and at the same rate of pay, where as I was told that the new job would be at a much lesser rate.
Before I left, I checked with HR department about how long it would be before I could reapply for a position with the company and they informed me 4 weeks.
I have sent in my CV and await their reply with interest.
Could you advise me of where I stand if I am not considered for the post and does the fact I took payment for early severence make a difference,
