Today my partner’s team of 7 people all got put at risk of redundancy until Thursday. Where they will decide whom they will get rid of.

Are they obliged to work till Thursday until the meeting? And if they do not have to work until the meeting will they still be paid.

I am asking this question because at my current job some of the guys were put a risk of redundancy and told they did not need to attend working until they had their meeting telling them if they has a job or not.
