Good Morning everyone,
I have recently been made redundant and am working my notice period, i have a question regarding the selection process.
A little background info first,
There are 6 depots overall, 3 in the north and 3 in the south. Each depot has one individual like myself doing a skilled job. The three people in the north including myself have been put on consultation along with a letter saying that the role we carry out is now not needed and is to be made redundant and we were put on consultation.
The three people in the south havent had a letter and are carrying out there same roles as before. There is absolutely no difference in our roles.
Should we all have been put on consultation and given a chance for a fair selection process or are they allowed to do this and class us as individual depots and workplaces? Is the fact we are based in different regions allow the company to pick and choose?
Thanks in advance for your help.
