My Current Role is at risk but I am not contracted for that role I was originally employed as a Project Manager 4 years ago and then promoted to a Senior Project Manager with a salary increase. Then I applied for a new role officially through HR and was awarded that role and a new contract drawn up which I did not sign due to a small bonus related issue which my Manager went away to sort out with every intention of bringing it back to the table. I carried on doing the role which again had given me a salary increase however 6 months into this role I was asked to help out with my old job due to pressure of work within the Company and have been doing that for 6 months. Recently the role of Project Manager is at risk but the role of Senior Project Manager is not at risk. I am then informed that my role was changed to Programme Manager which is also an “at risk” role some time ago and that a letter had been sent to me informing me of this and when I checked with HR I find that there is such a letter which states "delivered by hand" but I have not received this letter. Further investigation shows that only my original contract from 4 years ago is on file as a Project Manager and as such I am "at risk" whilst the Senior Project Managers are not and neither is the role which I was doing prior to being asked to "help out". There are my 3 peers who report to the same Manager staying as Senior PM's although there is no role or job description for a Senior PM and appear to have been selected although there are 84 employees at risk so this is not a one to one thing and we are all being told that there is no enhanced redundancy package. So my question is - how do I stand contractually and do I have a case for some kind of legal procedure.
