Hi,

I was on maternity leave from last June, finished 6th March this year. I was advised in November that my position was to be redundant as they were changing the role to more senior and full time. Offered me the chance to apply but knowing I couldn't due to the increased work load and substantial traveling.
Anyway; that aside I then contaced my HR department literally every week or so asking for updates and was always given an excuse as to why they hadn't got back to me with other possible positions or any details of redundancy payment etc.
I was prepared to go back on the 9th March having heard nothing (I work from home) Over a week later I chased HR again who didn't realise and thought I was coming back at end March despite several emails with the correct date. They have finally agreed to pay me from when I was due back while they finalise the arrangements but I still do not know what is happening. I know my job is redundant but they have just completly messed me about.
I feel that had I not been on maternity leave then it would not have been like this. I feel that I have been ignored and pushed to the bottom of the HR In Tray. I just don't know which way to turn.
Do I have a case to take them to court?
Any advise appreciated.
