Buying a shop, TUPE applies, can I make staff redundant and work myself and partner? I am buying shop, seller said TUPE applies. 6 staff involved all have over 2 years service. Shop is overstaffed and is losing money at the moment , hence reason for sale by vendor. I want to take over work myself and my partner and get rid of 4 staff. I would pay redundancy based on the formula. Is there anything preventing from this?
