my partner has just started a 90 day consultation period and would like to know whether this is 90 working days
she is pregnant and is yet to hand in her matb1 form so would like to know whether her smp will be affected
she was offered a promotion last month which she accepted and has since found out they gave the job to somebody else. when she asked, her boss explained that the other woman was going to be made redundant so they gave it to her. a week later my partner was put on the consultation period herself so would like to know where she stands on this issue.

Hi
90 days is 90 calendar days not working days.
your partner will still be entitled to SMP as long as she remains employed into the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth (and assuming she qualifies generally - see http://www.dwp.gov.uk/lifeevent/bene...y_pay.asp#what for further details)
Regarding the promotion. It sounds like this could show evidence of discrimination against your partner. If she has written evidence, such as a written offer, then she should retain that and raise this during the consultaton period with her employer.
