Hi,
I have a somewhat strange contract of employment. Under this contract I get paid based on the number of relevant client chargeable hours I work.
Due to the current economic climate I have not be placed on any assignment over the last 6 months.
Key feature of my contract are below :
1. The company shall be under no obligation to offer you any Projects.
2. Your continous employment, with the company commences 21-Mar-05.
3. No normal hrs of work as this varies from project to project.
4. You are entitled to the Private medical and Life insurance & Pension benefit regardless of whether you are on a project.
5. Statutory sick pay is payable if absent from work....
6. 2 weeks notice of termination is required unless if engaged on a project (maxi notice is remaining term of contract time upto 3 months).
7. First 2 years Company must give 2 weeks notice of termination, thereafter an additional year for each year worked.
8. If after 3 months of not recording any chargable time, an automatice reveiw procedure will begin. At this point the Company has the discretion to terminate your contract.
9. If you have not been offered work in the 3 months before 8 above, you maybe entitled to Statutory Redundancy Payment.

Can you please advise how I might be able to extract more than the SRP from my emoployers?
