I hope someone can advise. My husband had been laid off for 4 weeks without pay and at the end of this period he recieved a letter stating that he was being made redundant and would not be required to work his weeks notice period last week. He has recieved his p45 today and a pay slip with 2 days holiday that were owing, but his has not been paid for his 1 weeks notice period-is this right/legal?? As he has only been in his job for 1 year he isn't entitled to any redundancy.
I hope someone can help as I am unsure where we stand.
Notice period-should you be paid for this?
