My company is making >90 people redundant and appear to have followed the book re. process i.e. group consultation and is now moving into individual consultation. I have been advised that my role will be 'eliminated' following a recent company merger. I was on secondment and this became a permanent move just before I went on maternity leave NB. they made me sign a letter approving the permanent transfer, backdating it by >1 month and they never consulted with me on why it was becoming a permanent role or why it was backdated.
I would like to understand what my rights are. The company is in the process of putting people at risk of redundancy into selection pools (for the remaining roles) and I have been advised that although I have the right skill set, I am not eligible to be included in the selection pool for my original role i.e. what I was originally recruited for in 07 and where all my work experience for the past 10+ years has been. Therefore it appears that they are automatically making me redundant, without offering me an alternative role (these are available) within the organisation. I understand from directgov that I should be offered an alternative role without needing to apply for it.
Can you please let me know:
1. Whether they should offer me an alternative role, such as one of the roles that are available for my original position?
2. If they don't offer me an alternative role, what an accceptable enhanced redundancy payment would be e.g. no. of months?
Many thanks!

Any chance of some advice? I've been given notice that I have been selected for provisional redundancy and I have 3 working days (COP Tue) to respond.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
