Question,
I have received an "at risk" letter on Thursday pm for meeting next day and responded in writing.
I attended a meeting yesterday. It seems to be happening very quickly.
At the meeting I asked which other staff members were at risk. The response was "due process can not tell me numbers".
I think I am the only member of staff selected.
Do I have a case for unfair dismissal?
Regards
William

Dear William
I am sorry to hear about your situation. However, without further information about what your job is and whether yours is the only one, it is hard to give advice as to whether the selection is fair or not.
It would seem that the Company is following due process.
I would advise that during consultation you ask why your role has been selected. It is a fundamental requirement that you should be given this information.
If you dont get the right answers you dont have to agree that consultation has been completed. If they advise you that it is, then appeal against your selection.
Please let us have more information once you have found this out.
Hope this has helped.
Best wishes
Carol
