Can someone tell me who scores the selection criteria and how many people should score the candidates? Would the scores come together and added up, or one final score agreed?
thanks

Scoring selection criteria?!

Dear Wannas
Your line manager together with someone in HR or if not another manager should score you. I have known a panel to do the selection so that all areas are discussed and covered fairly.
You should ask this question to your company.
All the assessment scores on each individual person are then added up for a total score on the sheet.
Once the scoring process has taken place and those with the lowest scores notified and called to consultation, you have the chance to review and challenge the scores.
Hope this has helped.
Best wishes
Carol

interview scoring How can someone who goes for interview for an advertised job challenge the interview scoring?
The instance I have in mind is where an employee has won the role in a previous interview, their contract has been automatically renewed the 2nd year (2 years experience) and yet in the 3 term the role was readvertised and reinterviewed and awarded to someone with no experience or better qualifications in the role or in the company.
The employee complained about abuse from another employee which may be the actual reason for awarding the interview to a candidate with no experience.
The employee actually did very well in the role and during appraisals and with no issues with regard to conduct or capability.
The employees contract ran for about 8 months a year, as the work was seasonal.
I am tring to assist them, as it seems from the bystander approach that the employer has sought to avoid taking responsibility for disciplining the other senior employee by giving the role to someone else.
