    Default Employers changed numbers

My employers are half-way through 30 day consultation period. Initially wanted 28 people redundant, now they've said 24. Can they lawfully change their minds half-way through?

    Welcome to the forum.

One of the purposes of the consultation period is to find ways of reducing the number of planned dismissals.

Therefore reducing the number of redundancies to be made is legal.

    I hope this has helped.
