Hi I work for local government and during a restructure last July my post was made redundant.
After I showed my Boss how much workload I had they decided to offer me a 2 year part time temporary post which I accepted.
My question is this:
I had a permanent post which has since been deleted but I received no redundancy pay, am I still not entitled to a redundancy payment?
I feel that I have lost out somewhere and the Employer has pulled a fast one!
Any help appreciated.
Have I been stitched Up by my Employer!

You accepted an offer of suitable alternative employment. No you are not entitled to a redundancy payment - you are still employed!

But in answer to your question - yes they have pulled a fast one. A perfectly lawful one! If made redundant now you will be redundant from a part-time post! Much cheaper for them.
