Default weeks left at work before i go on maternity leave and been told my job is at risk

had first stage consultation meeting yesterday, my role has been made redundant but ive been given the option to apply for 3 alternative positions. all of which i dont geographically sit very well in and my travel time would be increased.
im due to go on maternity leave in 8 weeks, baby due in 12. would i be entitled to my full maternity leave?

Provided you qualify in the first place, then yes. But bear in mind that any additional contractual maternity provision may be dependant upon your returning to work at the end of your maternity leave.

Thanks, ive now had my second stage consultation and they have said im entitled to my statutory maternity for 39 weeks? but not my 6 weeks at 90% if i get made redundant< is this correct?
i pass the qualifying period as im under the 15 week deadline, now only have 11 weeks before my babys due...
and my contract states i dont have to repay the maternity if i dont return.

Sorry - my knowledge of the detail on maternity pay entitlement is very rusty as I never deal with this. However, if you try the Employment board on Money Saving Expert's website you will find half a dozen people who can reliably tell you what the rules are.
