Can anyone help ? I have been made redundant from a team of 3 - the 3rd member of the team has only been in the position for 4 months but I'd been in mine for 17 months.
I was a Sales Manager within the team and the only employee in the "pool" selection. The job title was just that, no responsibilities for the Sales Executive both myself and the Sales Executive did the same job but I was paid
£3k more as I took on bigger accounts. The Sales Exec was transfered internally from another department but had no experience. I was given no responsiblitity for the Sales Exec the Director of Sales lead the whole team. The companies reasons for selecting only my role for redundancy changed at every meeting we had and then when HR finaly agreed to send me a written state for the reasons it had changed again ??? I was told because it was an indivdual role being made redundant there wasn't a scoring system required but I have been told by ACAS at that both roles Sales Manager and Sales Exec are inchangable and both roles should of been reviewed for Redundancy - I have appealed but feel very confused and not sure of what to say and ask in the appeal meeting
Please can any help !! Thanks

appeal I have just won an appeal against redundancy unfortunately I discovered the manager assessing me for the new role and failing me had lied on the assess, emtn and i had proof plus a lot of other documentation. if you were assesses it has to be fair honest and consistent with other assessments. good luck
