I work for a charity for seven years now. In November I was given notice and I recieved a P45, because we had no more funding. We gave notice on our office, packed up and we were prepared to leave. However a few days before Christmas we recieved a donation which allowed us to continue. My employers registered me as a new employee. They said that because they had given us our P45 they had to start us again as new employees. Is this right? Should I have recieved redundancy? If we finish next year, will I recieve eight years redundancy? I dont think my employers are sure about what should happen either? Please help
