    Default Suspended during redundancy

I have been working for a company for 5 years which have run in to financial problems resulting in the entire work for being mad redundant and leaving one director to run the company.

I was giving notice and got told and giving a letter stating the amount I would recieve during a consultation meeting this was on the 16/12/11. It states I have to work until 24th of that month and will recieve full payment by 28/01/12.

Whilst at work todo I recieved a call from the director telling me he had recieved a call from soneone and that I had to leave the premises and I was suspended for spreading "rumours" and would recieve a letter from a solicitor. Another employee recieved a call asking if I was still at the premises an if I am the director would come and smash my face in if I was still there.

Now I know there are alot of rumors going around about the company some of which I have had customers tell me the rumors. I have written proof of a customer over hear another customer tell me differant things that is supposedly going to happen. (the rumour the director is accusing me of spreading),

I am the employee that is owed the most redundancy to, an personally think he is looking for ways to not pay me. So can he refuse to pay me redundancy an can he suspend me for supposedly spreading rumours.

The alleged rumour is, he has been told that I am going to inform the "tax man" about a "back hander" he Aparently got going on between him
    And another company's sales man.

Yes you can be suspended (and disciplined, and dismissed) whilst on notice. The same rules and laws apply because you are still working for them. If you are dismissed then you would have to treat it as an unfair dismissal (assuming it is of course)
