One month notice? I have been employed for 9 months and have been told I will be made redundant shortly, would I be entitled to one months notice payment and if so would I have to work this month?

You are entitled to whatever your notice period is. And yes, you can be required to work it.

Sorry - that is up to the employer - they can make you use it during your notice period, or they can pay you for it.
