On 13/02/09 i was advised of a 30day consultation for redundancy period.
I requested to take voluntary redundancy before the end of this consultation period, which was verbally accepted by the Regional Manager.
I have since heard back from HR today that i am not allowed to take redundancy before the consultation period is up on 13/03/09.
Is this correct that although i know there are no other positions within the company for me to be moved too i still have to wait until the 30days is up, they then tell me i'm being made redundant and i go?
My Contracts Manager & Regional Manager are happy for me to take the redundancy early but HR are saying i can't due to the consulation notice??
