Hello
I just received the " Potential Redundancy " letter today, my director told me that nothing been decided yet.
My direct boss will meet with me next Thuesday to discuss the potential position.
I was taken over on TUPE last year September and wonder if the time with my former company counts wor my time.
Could I get some advise, should I get a lawyer involved, or should I listen to what they have to tell me first?
Thank you in advance for any help.
Hamish

Hi Hamish
TUPE protects employees whose employment is transferred from one employer to another by preserving continuity of employment, so length of service is maintained, as are existing terms and conditions.
Therefore, for the purpose of redundancy, your length of service will be from when you started with your original employer. If you have any doubts, make sure you raise issues at your meeting.
Please keep us informed with how you get on. I hope this has helped.Clara Buckingham

Hiya all
I know you are busy, but any chance to let me know if there is a time limit for TUPE?
Thanks in advance
