Job being advertised......While I am in int ! My employer has just advertised my position (different job title) but it's the same job at half the wages. I only discovered by accident and it is deffo my position because it states my post code. On raising the subject my line manager said that they were "considering it as an option and advertising to guage the caliber of applicants, then a decision would be made as to whether to go ahead". I am on performance management currently, would this not cloud any disciplinary meeting as a decision could be seen to have been made if they are already adverising for my " potential" replacement. They have not had the balls to mention this to myself or the other parties involved, but have done it behind our backs. Where do we stand?

But it isn't your job. It's a different title and half the wages. So not your job at all. You are in performance management - that is what you need to concentrate on, because if you are judged to be incapble of doing the job, then you are out. Sorry, but it is that blunt. What matters here is the capability process - are you capable of doing the job or are they correct and you can't? Why are you in performance management?
