Org structure Been put at risk or redundancy, and starting consultancy period. Asked for existing org structure as was told that only 2 (my subordinate and I) people out of 65 are at risk (across numerous locations). Org structure has just been provided, and it has the proposed structure, and my role has been removed. Have I been dismissed already ?

No. Your role has been removed - not you. I am guessing, but it sounds like you and your collegaue may have to compete for an alternative role. But the donsultancy period should clarify this

Thanks. So they have proposed a structure without my role, but still state that they will endeavour to avoid redundancies. Should not others (similar roles) be included in the restructuring process ?

Possibly - but you didn't give me any details! I can't comment on what I don't know - my crystal ball is out of batteries again!

Hahahaha - Crystal ball gazing is fun I hear ! Tuped to division 6 months ago. Seamless transition and integration. Did self assessment, no response, completed bonus scheme, no response. At first meeting , were informed that we were at risk due to cost and location (noted). We manage 33% of profit. There are 5 other similar roles in division (per org structure). Why only us at risk ?

No, the details I need are about the other jobs, their locations and so on. Essentially, I need to know why the employer has decided only you. I cannot answer these questions for you - I can advise on the legal position based on what you tell me, but if you can't tell me anything I can't base an opinion on anything! The questions you are asking here are things that you must ask of the employer - why have you been selected, why haven't others been placed in the pool, etc? The purpose of consultation is to deal with these matters. The employer is legally bound to try to avoid redundancies, and they may be able to do so. But I can't answer questions without information as to what is happening and what explanation is given and what the employer is going to do.
