Made Redundant on Maternity Leave I wonder if anyone can help me or if I am too late to take action against a former employer. Way back in February 1997 I was made redundant whilst on maternity leave after having my daughter in December 1996. I went into work in February 1997 to give them my start date and they told me that they were merging with another company and there was no longer a position for me. Is it too late to take any legal action against the company? I was a naive 19 year old at the time and thought they must have been able to make me redundant. The company still trades now so surely HR would still have records! Any help would be most appreciated.
