    Default made reduntant for the 2nd time! Can they delay my cheque (tsubakimoto)

    hia chaps for the 2nd time ive been made reduntant, the place i have worked at for the last 2 years and 8 months are in the automobile trade (tsubakimoto) ive had my letter offering me voluntary reduncy and theyve offered me £3145, and my final day at work will be the 22nd of january so ill get my regular months money on the 24th then ive been told by my hr woman that they will try to sort it for this payroll but if they cant they will pay me the £3145 on the 24th of feb are they able to do this??? as before when i was made reduntant i got a cheque on the last day of work?? any help will be great thanks

    Thank you for your question although I am sorry that you are to be made redundant for the second time.

    If your employer is making the redundancy payment, it should be paid to you on the last day that you work or as soon as is possible. If there is likely to be a long delay then it must be agreed with the employee.

    If you feel that you are are having to wait too long, you can take the employer to an Employment Tribunal, but I would seek legal advice before doing so.
