Redeployment I have been made redundant and am working my notice, however our redeployment policy says that those at risk will have first opportunity for any role before wider advertisment. The company have however now placed an external ad for the role that i am fully suitable for on an interim basis (this following my offer of doing the role on an interim basis anyway to seek to help them out whilst a full time post is filled.) NB I have been doing a broadly similar role for 2 yrs. What are my rights in this circumstance? (NB I have an excellent attendance and performance record)

Well the most obvious answer is that you need to ask the employer this question. The employer is under a legal obligation to try to avoid or delay redundancy, which is why the "suitable alternative role" provision exists. They must considier you for any possible suitable alternative employment - whether permanant or temporary, and if they do not do so, or fail to offer you a suitable alternative employment that exists, then this may give rise to an unfair dismissal. So you need to ask them why a role which you consider to be a suitable alternative position is not being offered to you and is being advertised externally, and if necessary you need to lodge an appeal to your redudancy based on there being an available post.
