This is seasonal work? So you have periods when they do employ you and periods when they don't? In which case you have no continuous employment and so redundancy pay is not an entitlement. You require at least two years continuous employment with no breaks. Although to be honest, it also is not a redundancy situation. The job is not disappearing - you are incapble of performing the job because you cannot be insured. This is a dismissal, not a redundancy, for "some other substantial reason". A comparable situation would be, if you were say 40 years old, had to drive for a living, and lost your license or an insurer refused you insurance for some reason. You can no longer drive for a living, and in law the employer is entitled to dismiss on these grounds if there is no other employment for you. Sorry.
