Quebecor was closed by the administrators in Feb 2008. It's been a long running saga and the adminstrators are finally winding up the assets.
I received yet another letter from ernst and young today, I know some others have too. Upon 1st read, it looked as thought they were paying just over 2k for payment of lieu of notice.
However upon another read - referring back to the 1st paragraph it looks like this £2k will only be paid at 5pence in the £1 (i.e. £100)!! Can anybody else shed any light on this.
Why is it that when the damn administrators send any sort of communication to us laymen, there's a need to take legal advice!?
I've attached the relevant parts of the letter for you guys to make up your own minds. Let me know what you think before I sign and return the form.
