I worked for BT and our dept was TUPE'd to a UK Outsourcing IT company, since then the company has been sold on to a French IT company. We still mainly undertake mainly the same BT work as before.

BT want to make more savings by sending more jobs offshore, we are going though a redundancy process at present VR terms are being offered. Redeployment and re-training was promised but of course is not been given.

The main problem is that BT are funding the redundancies and not our present employer, is this actually legal?

Also the only staff being offered VR are ex-BT staff and no others, although I think other staff are going.
