Company relocation & keeping temps on My employer's are relocating my position to Felixstowe. They employ a number of agency staff as temps (although some have been here for 5 years as a temp) at this site who have just been told that their jobs are secure. Do my employers have a leagl obligation to offer me one of their positions and will I retain my current wage, or will I have too take a drop in salary/take redundancy. thanking you for your help in advance.Last edited by TRANQUILDAY; 25-11-08 at 10:03 AM. Relocation and temps I am a bit confused...are the temps at the site in Felixstowe or your current work location?
If the whole company is relocating, have they asked you if you wish to relocate? They are obliged to offer you alternative work even if the company is relocating. It is up to you to decide whether the alternative work is suitable or not.
Hope this helps.
